I'm Hurt

I was about halfway through a small basket, and felt more than a twinge-It fuckin' hurt. I tried to shake it off, walked around and stretched a bit. I tried one more ball, and NO WAY.

I'll be back when I feel better...

Progress?

I tried to forget about last fiasco of a session, and just relax and hit a few. I was very happy overall...I just hit the PW and 9 iron, trying keep my rhythm and tempo. I wasn't trying to move the ball too much, just some good contact.

I felt a little twinge in my ribs after I was finished, which is annoying. It's probably nothing, but I'll take a couple days off anyway.

lesson 5

I suck...
I couldn't find the ball at all
I had no rhythm
I dunno--It has been a lot of work and after all this time, to go out and look like shit is as frustrated I have been in a long time.

My pro was nice enough to offer me a free tune-up later, as he knew we weren't getting anywhere on this day. I really appreciated that...

What? I actually played 9...

Yup, I actually was off the range and onto the course for a change. My associate showed up and asked if I wanted go , so hell yes!

All in all, I enjoyed it; I hit many poor shots, some were OK, and a couple were quite good. When I was close to the green, I was more than happy with my chipping, but my putting was atrocious. This was no surprise since I hadn't putted in many years.

I didn't bother to keep score, since I feel it is counterproductive to do so when you are at my level. To me, it's just the usual practice except this time I was actually on a course.

I enjoyed it!

More practice

VERY inconsistent the last few days...I hit a couple of beautiful shots, and then I absolutely can't find it again for several shots. Pretty frustrating, but I am hitting enough good ones to keep me out there

lesson 4

We worked on a little of everything this time around; I felt pretty good overall and feel like I am coming along. We worked a little on my swing path as well, and I started to move the ball a little better. I'm still inconsistent when I'm on my own, but I feel like progress is being made, albeit slowly.

I have been very diligent and showing up at the driving range at least 5 days a week. I probably should call this blog "the range rat" or something similar. I do enjoy solo experiences, and the local range is rarely busy so I get to have my own brand of fun. Golf is always golf, and can never be totally mastered, but it sure is fun to see (and feel) progress.

I never bothered too make any particular goals with regard to the game, but it would be fun to someday play bogey golf. So I guess thats my first goal! It may not sound like much, but if you have been a high handicapper your whole life, it looks like dream.
